If there is one business I’d like to get my head around it’s currency trading. I started flirting with the currency trading business when I rented a seat on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange trading pit upon college graduation. With no experience whatsoever, I proceeded to lose a lot of money.
Trading on an exchange floor is not as easy as they make it out to be in the movies. Most of the time there’s no action and guys just stand around chatting about sports and reading the papers. But then there are moments when news breaks and the entire floor wakes up like a sleeping dragon. It’s frightening and exciting at the same time. One moment you’re floating around in calm waters then all of sudden a huge rogue wave builds and swallows you up.
For all the heartaches, currency trading is still a lot of fun — and profitable if you know how to work the system.
Nowadays I trade online. It’s much more cost-effective and flexible. And like 99% of currency traders out there, I’m still working out the kinks.
So why do I like currency trading so much? Click here to read the rest of this article.

Negotiations are a fact of life. You can’t avoid them. Even if you’re not in sales or business, you need good negotiating skills.
Think about your home life. Have you ever tried to get a family member to do something? Have you tried to get your kids to wash the dishes? Have you ever tried to return something to a store? Have you ever tried to get out of a speeding ticket?
These instances require negotiation skills.
Countless books have been written on this topic and I’ve read many of them. The following list is a distillation of those strategies which I feel most important for almost any situation.

Over the last couple of years, I’ve developed a real interest in the area of exerting influence on people. Some may see this as evil, saying that you’re manipulating people. I disagree.
Ever since mankind walked the earth, humans have been exerting their influence on others. Think about the alpha male in a prehistoric tribe. He willfully brandishes his influence over the tribe members. His influence guides the tribe to survive harsh winters and long droughts.
Exerting influence is only evil if you use it for evil purposes or to “one-up” another person.
My study on this topic has opened my eyes to a whole new world. At the end of this article, you will see a list of books I recommend. But be forewarned, simply reading these materials won’t automatically make you a master negotiator. You have to live the principles and consciously practice them in daily life.
I have picked out some of the principles I have learned from these books. You can use these principles for almost anything in your life like getting a raise at work, closing business deals, getting your kids to do their homework, getting your significant other to see things your way, and many more.
So what are these principles? Click here to read the rest of this article.
